Jodi Allen grew up on the Gold Coast and attended high school locally. She studied at Griffith University and in 2001 graduated law and psychology, achieving Honours in law. After completing her university studies, Jodi then undertook her articles of clerkship under Bill Potts from whom she gained valuable experience.
In 2004 Jodi was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Jodi is committed to ensuring criminal law is applied fairly, consistently, and competently. In 2018 Jodi was appointed a member of the Queensland Law Society Criminal Law Committee because of her expertise in the area. The Committee’s functions include advocating for good law; providing expert advice to Government; and developing policy positions, guidance and submissions for reform.
Jodi also facilitates Continuing Legal Education sessions for criminal lawyers on the Gold Coast. Since 2015 Jodi has received regular peer recognition in Doyle’s Guide as a recommended criminal and traffic lawyer in Queensland. Jodi represents people charged with a variety of offences ranging from simple driving charges to murder and has significant experience in the representation of those charged with serious drug trafficking and related offences.

Lisa Searing was born and raised in Pomona, California. She comes from an ethnically diverse family and is of African American heritage. In high school Lisa studied African American studies and has always maintained a strong interest in the application of justice through the Court system. Lisa relocated to Melbourne with her family in 1990, ultimately moving to the Gold Coast to settle in 1991. She attended Griffith University School of Law where she completed her Bachelor of Laws in 2005, followed by a Bachelor of International Business in 2007. In 2008, Lisa was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and was later admitted as a Solicitor of the High Court of Australia.
Lisa began her legal career with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. After working for the prosecution it became apparent to Lisa that she would best serve the community, and her own ideals, as a criminal defence lawyer. Lisa crossed over to criminal defence in January 2010. She joined the firm in 2015 and became partner in 2019. Lisa has also been the serving president of the Macleod Accommodation Support Services Committee since 2010. Lisa realises that she is in a unique position to assist those involved in what is often a very stressful experience, in a knowledgeable and compassionate manner.
Lisa represents people charged with a variety of offences and has significant experience in the representation of those charged with sexual offences, violent offences, drug offences and serious fraud matters.

Mollie completed her secondary schooling in Victoria achieving Academic Honours. Shortly thereafter she relocated to the Gold Coast after being offered the Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence at Bond University. Mollie completed her Bachelor of Laws in an accelerated degree and went on to complete her Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with Bond University.
Mollie commenced her career in a boutique Criminal Law firm on the Gold Coast. She has practised exclusively in Criminal Law, Traffic Law and Domestic Violence for over a decade. She appears on a daily basis before the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts across Queensland. Mollie has a wealth of experience in dealing with simple traffic matters to more serious and complex criminal matters such as white collar crime, contempt, drug trafficking and murder. Mollie also has experience in quasi-criminal matters including investigative hearings and criminal confiscations matters.

Marianne began her career in the legal industry in Townsville in 1987, and then went on to gain valuable experience in law firms in Sydney, Brisbane and ultimately the Gold Coast.
With her pragmatic approach and detailed understanding of the running of criminal law files, she provides beneficial secretarial support to our firm in the daily progression of matters.
Marianne is also our office manager, events coordinator and internal IT support and consistently goes above and beyond by ensuring we can all accomplish our work with ease.
